Background on Hope Day:
Angel Wings Foundation helps those who need it the most and expect it the least, while leaving a legacy of purposeful giving. The heart of our Hope Day Legacy Project is to provide opportunities for families and individuals to gather together as a community to make a difference. Not only does this allow people to make a tangible difference, but it sparks conversation about the importance of giving back and being aware of others' needs.
Hope Day is an open house event that provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to decorate and fill bags with much needed items including socks, hats, snacks and much more. The filled bags are for you to take with you and give to members of your community who are in need.
Legacy Marketplace Info:
Our Legacy Marketplace will feature a select group of local youth who have created items to sell at our event. A portion (50%) of your proceeds will go back to Angel Wings Foundation. Think of it as a craft fair that is completely designed and created by our youth! The unique part is that all of the participants get to donate their money back to helping others through Angel Wings Foundation. Along the way, youth gain confidence and budgeting skills, while making a difference in their community.
Take some time to consider an item to create that would be unique and fun for you to spend time on. Don’t forget about the cost of supplies and what is feasible for your family. If you can narrow it down to two ideas, our team can help you decide on a project. We will not be able to provide you with project ideas, we expect all participants to have their own vision. If we receive duplicate ideas for items on applications, we will follow up with you on a second-choice project.
Participation in the Legacy Marketplace requires dedication, communication, and hard work. Time management skills are a must to ensure that you plan enough time to complete your items for Hope Day. Parents/Guardians are a necessary part of the experiences, and are there to support, but not to create the items for their kids. We are looking for driven, hard-working and passionate young people to showcase their joy for helping others. Each young person must be between the ages of 7-17 to participate. All projects must be completed before the start of theschool year. We have found this to be the best goal for families, since the beginning of the school year can be a hectic time.

Do you want to be part of our exclusive Legacy Marketplace? If so, please fill out the application completely and return it to Angel Wings Foundation.
No late applications will be accepted. Those who are selected will be notified no later than April 16th in order to begin communication and planning prior to the end of the school year. We will meet as a team to discuss expectations, answer questions and review deadlines. We will provide two mentors to check in with the kids and parents throughout the summer, and as Hope Day approaches in the Fall.
